Redruth North Ward Election
Paddy Deakin
Backing local people. Getting things done.
Town Council Election – 26 March 2026
I already show up, ask questions, and work on practical projects in Redruth. I’m standing to bring that same focus to Redruth North on the Town Council.
Why I’m Standing
I’m actively involved in Redruth through local projects and by regularly attending Town Council meetings. I’ve seen both the town’s potential and the frustration when things stall.
Redruth doesn’t need grand promises. It needs consistent follow-through, clearer communication, and support for the people already trying to improve things.
I’m standing to help provide that.

Three priorities for Redruth North
The Town Council can’t solve everything – but it can support momentum and remove small obstacles that slow progress.
A town centre with more life
Supporting visible activity in the town centre, backing local events, and encouraging temporary use of empty shops.
Safer and more welcoming public spaces
Better lighting and maintenance in ope-ways, proper follow-up on anti-social behaviour, and supporting positive activities for young people.
Clearer communication
Making it easier to report issues, with better updates when concerns are raised and clearer council communication.
I’m not starting from zero
